Summer Bishil was born in New York City. Her most well-known role is her character, Margo Hanson on Syfy's fantasy drama The Magicians. Her previous work was recognized as the character of a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun as she goes through a series of turbulent personal struggles against set against the backdrop of the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead.
